School Uniform

All students attending The Hurst School are required to wear the correct school uniform. There is no negotiation on this point. The school uniform has been designed so that it is safe, practical, smart and easily obtainable.

Students who do not attend school in full school uniform will either be sent home to change or loaned an appropriate school uniform to wear. Failure to comply with these expectations is likely to lead to further sanctions.

May we take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support of The Hurst School and our high standards. If you require any further clarification, please contact your Head of House.

Changes to PE Kit from September 2026

From September 2026, branded PE kit items will no longer be compulsory. This is in line with new Government guidance which aims to reduce costs for families, limit compulsory branded items, give parents more choice about where items are bought, and ensure fairness and inclusion for all students.

However should you wish to continue purchasing branded items, you are welcome to do so, and any existing PE kit, including current items with the school logo, will continue to be acceptable.

Please read the document below, which outlines our expectations around colour, style and suitability.
