In-Year Admissions
If you are considering a place for your child at The Hurst School outside the normal Year 7 entry point, this is known as an In-Year Admission. These applications can be made at any time during the school year.
How to Apply
All in-year applications must be submitted through Hampshire County Council’s Admissions Team. You can find further information and details of how to make an application on their website.
What Happens Next
- Once your application is received, Hampshire Admissions will process it and notify the school accordingly.
- If a place is available, you will be contacted to arrange a meeting with a member of our Senior Leadership Team. This meeting will include a tour of the school and an opportunity to discuss your child’s individual needs.
- If the year group is full, you will be informed in writing and placed on the waiting list for the relevant year group until the end of the academic year. Should a place become available, we will contact you to advise on the next steps.
Year Group Availability and Support
We understand that moving schools can be a big decision. If you would like to check whether we have spaces available in any year group, arrange a visit to The Hurst School or discuss your child’s individual needs, please contact our Admissions Officer at [email protected]. We are happy to answer any questions and support you through the process.
