Aims and Main Purpose of the Job:

To work under the direction of the Site Manager to be responsible for the general maintenance, cleanliness and security of the school and to maintain premises (both internally and externally) in a clean, safe, sound and secure condition for staff, pupils, parents and community users.

Occasional weekend overtime and holiday cover will be required, together with some evening shifts.

You will be working with individuals or groups of children, assisting pupils to make good progress.  You may also support with specific special educational needs issues in conjunction with the teacher.

You should be able to demonstrate empathy with pupils and be sympathetic to their needs, professionally discrete with good communication skills and a team worker.  You should also possess good numeracy and literacy skills.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and inspirational teacher to join our school. The post of ‘General Teacher’ arises as we reshape our curriculum and will be an excellent opportunity for an individual with the skills to teach across a number of subjects. In particular, the ability to teach in the Humanities, including our PDL Curriculum, will be advantageous. However, specific subject allocations will be discussed at interview.
